Faith’s Medical Status:
Adopted into a happy home!
Cost Incurred to Date:
$4800
In February, FHFF received a grant application from a local rescue, Fur Fun Rescue, entitled “Helping Faith Run Again”. A black lab mix named Faith had been rescued from the Cedar Rapids Animal Care & Control shelter in late October of 2021. Both of her rear legs had cranial (or anterior) cruciate ligament ruptures to the knee joint. These injuries were painful and prevented Faith from enjoying a normal life. Funds were requested through the FHFF Grant Program to cover the cost of surgical repair of both CCL tears.
In keeping with our mission of supporting the emergency and medical needs of homeless animals of the Cedar Rapids Animal Care & Control, FHFF awarded the full $4800 to cover both surgeries.
Faith (now Molly) recovered beautifully from her knee surgeries and has been adopted. She has been enjoying life in her new home for a couple of months now and loves going for walks and toddling around her fenced yard in the company of her new family, a mom and daughter.
